RUMO SELLS PART OF A TERMINAL AT THE PORT OF SANTOS TO BUNGE

Rumo has sold its 50% stake in Terminal XXXIX at the Port of Santos for BRL 600 million to a partnership led by Bunge Alimentos and Zen-Noh Grain Corporation. The “equity” value is expected to be roughly BRL 550 million. This divestment is a key element of Rumo’s plan to increase cash flow and focus on measures that improve railway capacity and competitiveness. Following the agreement, Bunge and Zen-Noh Grain will each own an equal interest in the terminal, with Caramuru Alimentos holding the remaining 50%. The transaction aims to increase logistical flexibility in a key Brazilian export route.
