DREDGING OF SUAPE’S OUTER CHANNEL COMPLETED

Van Oord has completed the dredging of the outer channel to the Port of Suape in Northeast Brazil, deepening it from 15 to 20 meters. This enhancement allows the port to accommodate larger and more efficient container and bulk vessels. The project, which began in 2011 and faced several interruptions, required the deployment of various dredgers. Tim Helbo, Director of Dredging at Van Oord, praised the dedication and resilience of the team and the cooperation with partners, marking this as a significant milestone for both Van Oord and the Port of Suape.
