According to the annual list Valor 1000, the bioenergy sector in Brazil has seen a significant increase in profit, revenue, and Ebitda, while also reducing its debts in 2022. The bioenergy sector accounts for 43 of the thousand greatest firms by net sales, and they have remained stable even after a methodological change in 2022. In terms of net sales, net income, Ebitda, and debt, the sector’s overall performance was better than in 2021. The average of the 43 enterprises increased their net sales by 9.6%, reaching BRL 4.89 billion in 2022. Despite individual reductions at certain corporations, Copersucar remained the sales leader, reaching BRL 70.14 billion.
