BRAZIL POSTS RECORD HYDROUS ETHANOL CONSUMPTION IN JUNE

Brazil’s hydrous ethanol consumption reached a record 1.83 billion liters for June, up 5.8% year on year and 1.8% from May, according to ANP data. Ethanol’s share of the Otto cycle fuel market increased to 24.1%, from 23.9% in May and 22.3% a year earlier, marking the highest monthly level since February 2025. Gasoline demand totaled 3.87 billion liters, down 3.7% from June 2025 but up 0.5% month on month. Total Otto cycle fuel consumption reached 5.01 billion liters on a gasoline equivalent basis, rising 0.8% from May while remaining 1.3% below the level recorded a year earlier.
