BRAZIL POSTS US$2.29 BILLION TRADE SURPLUS IN SECOND WEEK OF JULY

Brazil posted a US$2.29 billion trade surplus in the second week of July, with exports totaling US$7.50 billion and imports reaching US$5.21 billion. The result was supported by solid shipments of agricultural and mining products, while imports remained driven by demand for industrial inputs, fuels and capital goods. The weekly performance extends Brazil’s positive trade balance this year, underpinned by resilient export flows.
