BRAZIL CORN HARVEST HITS 30% AS MT, GO PACE IMPROVES

Brazil’s 2026 second corn crop harvest reached 30% of the planted area in the Center South as of July 2, up from 22% a week earlier and 28% a year ago, according to AgRural. Drier weather accelerated fieldwork in Mato Grosso, which remains well ahead of other producing states, and in Goiás. Even so, excessive moisture during harvest continues to weigh on grain quality. Across the rest of the Center South, lower rainfall supported operations, but high grain moisture is still slowing harvest progress.
