PARANÁ POSTS 17.6M T CORN OUTPUT FORECAST AS SAFRINHA HARVEST REACHES 3%

Paraná’s 2025/26 second corn crop harvest has reached 3% of planted area, with more than 86,000 hectares already harvested. Deral kept its production estimate at 17.6 million metric tons from 2.91 million hectares. Frost events reported in the southern half of the state and forecasts for additional occurrences are expected to cause only localized damage, with no material impact on current output projections. Of the remaining crop, 40% is at maturity, 58% at grain filling and 2% at flowering. Tobacco harvesting was completed with a record crop of 213,700 tons, up 7% year on year. Planted area hit a record 86,800 hectares, while the average producer price fell 3% in May to BRL 18.71 per kilogram.
