BNDES POSTS BRL 618 MLN FINANCING FOR MINAS GERAIS GRAIN ETHANOL PLANT

BNDES approved BRL 618 million in financing for a new grain ethanol plant to be developed by Grupo Aroeira in Tupaciguara, Minas Gerais, with operations scheduled to start in 2028. The funding package includes BRL 310 million from the Climate Fund, BRL 105.5 million through the Finem investment line and BRL 202.5 million for industrial equipment purchases. Operated by Biomil Etanol, the facility will process 330,000 tonnes of corn and sorghum annually, producing 146 million liters of ethanol and 92,000 tonnes of DDGS feed products. The investment expands Grupo Aroeira’s bioenergy complex, supports year-round ethanol production beyond the sugarcane harvest cycle and strengthens regional grain, livestock and biofuels supply chains in Minas Gerais.
