Minas Gerais plans BRL 350 million in pipeline capex to support biomethane plants in Uberlândia and Uberaba, expanding distribution capacity and renewable fuel supply. The project, developed with Siamig, awaits legislative approval. The state also proposes ICMS tax credits to boost sector competitiveness. At the federal level, authorities consider raising the ethanol blend in gasoline from 30% to 32%, pending CNPE approval. In 2025, the state processed 74 Mt of cane, producing 5.39 Mt of sugar and 2.6 billion liters of ethanol. For 2026, crushing is expected above 83 Mt (+11.6% y/y), with hydrated ethanol output projected to grow up to 40%.
