SIAMIG Bioenergia forecasts Minas Gerais sugarcane output at 83.3 million tonnes in 2026/27 (+11.6% y/y), supported by a 1% increase in harvested area to 1.05 million hectares and yields up 10% to 79.4 t/ha. ATR is expected at 139.4 kg/t (+1.4%), lifting total ATR to 11.6 million tonnes (+13.2%). Under the base case, roughly 55% of cane is allocated to sugar, with output at 6.1 million tonnes (+13.2%), while ethanol reaches 3.04 million m³ (+13%). In an alternative scenario with stronger ethanol economics, the mix could shift to 51% sugar, pushing ethanol to 3.34 million m³ (+24.2%) and capping sugar at 5.65 million tonnes (+4.6%).
