BRAZIL FERTILIZER DELIVERIES RISE 5.3% IN JANUARY ON HIGHER IMPORTS

Fertilizer deliveries in Brazil reached 3.87 million tonnes in January 2026, up 5.3% year-on-year, according to ANDA. Mato Grosso led with 1.14 million tonnes (29.7%), followed by Goiás, Paraná, São Paulo and Minas Gerais. Domestic intermediate production dropped 23% to 497,000 tonnes, while imports increased 5.4% to 3.16 million tonnes, underscoring external reliance. Paranaguá port handled 786,000 tonnes (+9.5%), accounting for 24.8% of total inbound volumes and remaining the country’s main fertilizer gateway.
