The 2025/26 soybean harvest in Mato Grosso reached 65.75% of the planned area, while corn planting hit 66.33% and cotton sowing neared completion at 99.45%, according to Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea). Drier weather accelerated soybean harvests after earlier delays, though heavy rains in some regions increased grain moisture and potential price discounts. Productivity is estimated at 64.73 bags per hectare, with output projected at 50.52 million tons. Corn planting advanced with improved weather but remains slightly behind last season due to delayed soybean harvesting. Cotton planting is nearly finished, with most areas seeded within or ahead of the ideal planting window.
