The Brazilian government inaugurated the first Small Public Port Facility (IP4) in Amapá on Friday (30), located in Santana with an investment of BRL 28.8 million. Built by DNIT, it features a climate-controlled passenger terminal and a 4,000 m² floating pier operational at all tides, capable of handling both passenger and cargo vessels of up to 30 tons. The facility includes full accessibility, parking, commercial spaces, and a covered access bridge. This historic IP4 aims to strengthen inland navigation, lower logistics costs, improve mobility, and boost tourism and regional economic development.
