First-crop corn is mostly finishing grain filling and maturation with good conditions, though weather delayed harvest in some areas; second-crop corn planting is expanding as fields clear and soil moisture allows. Soybeans are mainly in fruiting to early ripening, with contrasting regional weather—adequate rainfall aiding some areas, while drought and heat caused stress and potential yield losses elsewhere. Irrigated rice harvest continues smoothly but faces poor prices and producer financial strain. Potato harvest is nearing completion with good quality but weak prices. Sugarcane shows strong vegetative growth.
