Brazil’s 2025/26 soybean harvest is forecast to set a new record at 182.2 million tons, surpassing the previous cycle by over 10 million tons, according to Agroconsult. The surge is driven by favorable weather and strong yields, particularly in the South. Rio Grande do Sul stands out with production estimated above 21 million tons after 2024 losses. While planted area is expanding modestly by 2.1% to 48.8 million hectares, producers continue investing in technology to raise productivity. Exports may also reach a record 112 million tons, sustaining Brazil’s strong competitiveness in key markets like China amid global uncertainties.
