PORT OF IMBITUBA TO INVEST R$90,5 MILLION IN THE REHABILITATION AND STRUCTURAL REINFORCEMENT OF THE BREAKWATER

The Port of Imbituba is authorized to contract the Executive Design and carry out the works for the rehabilitation and structural reinforcement of the breakwater. The funds, totaling R$90.5 million, will be transferred by the Secretariat of Ports, Airports and Railways (SPAF), which has signed a Commitment Agreement with the Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor), to the Port Authority, which will be responsible for executing the works. The bidding process for contracting the works is in the final stage of approval. “This investment in the breakwaters is essential to ensure the safety of operations and the efficiency of the Port of Imbituba. It is a strategic project, planned for years, that strengthens port infrastructure and the port’s development,” said Christiano Lopes, CEO of the Port of Imbituba.
