Inpasa Brasil has announced a BRL 3.5 billion investment package in Mato Grosso to scale its operations in the corn ethanol sector. BRL 2.7 billion will be directed towards building a new plant in Rondonópolis, with a further BRL 700 million financing the expansion of its existing facility in Nova Mutum. The new plant will be capable of processing approximately 2 million tons of corn annually, yielding 1 billion liters of ethanol, 490,000 tons of DDGS, and 47,000 tons of corn oil each year. The BRL 700 million investment in Nova Mutum will boost that unit’s processing capacity by an additional 1 million tons of corn per year.
