IBGE RAISES HARVEST FORECASTS: 345.9 MILLION TONS FOR 2025 AND 335.7 MILLION TONS FOR 2026

Brazil’s projected 2025 harvest of cereals, legumes, and oilseeds reached 345.9 million tons in November, an 18.2% increase (53.2 million tons) from the 2024 output and a slight 0.1% gain from the previous month’s estimate. The estimated harvest area expanded to 81.5 million hectares, reflecting a 3.1% increase when compared to 2024, and a 0.1% rise when compared to October. Rice, corn, and soybeans remain the primary crops, jointly accounting for 92.5% of the total projected production and 87.9% of the harvest area.
