BRAZIL’S 2025-26 SOYBEAN HARVEST FORECAST CUT, OUTPUT STILL SET FOR RECORD HIGH

Brazil’s 2025-26 soybean harvest is now forecast at 177.1 million tons, according to a projection by the National Supply Company (Conab). This reflects a reduction of roughly 500,000 tons from last month’s estimate, due in part to irregular rainfall that needed replanting in some areas last month. Despite a slight downward revision in the planted area, Brazil is still expected to sow a record just under 49 million hectares, representing an annual increase of 1.6 million hectares (3.4%). As the world’s largest soybean producer, the country is poised to maintain high stock levels if these record projections are realized.
