PETROBRAS LAUNCHES BRL 2,6 BILLION INVESTMENT IN BAHIA, FOCUSING ON SHIPS AND FERTILIZERS

Ahead of his visit, President Lula is set to formalize a significant investment package for Bahia. Petrobras will commit BRL 2.6 billion to order new vessels and reopen the Fafen facility, with operations scheduled to restart by the end of 2025. At the Enseada Shipyard, the President will also sign a protocol to study the use of the São Roque do Paraguaçu site as a platform shoulder area. Moreover, the Ministry of Ports and Airports will announce a BRL 611.7 million investment, predominantly from the Merchant Marine Fund, for the construction of 80 boats, creating over 2,000 direct jobs.
