OIL AND NATURAL GAS PRODUCTION IN JUNE BREAKS RECORD, REACHING 4.9 MILLION BOED, SAYS ANP

In June 2025, Brazil reached a record in oil and natural gas production, according to ANP data. Oil output hit 3.757 million barrels per day (bpd), up 2.1% from May and 10.1% year-over-year. Natural gas reached 181.636 million m³/d, rising 5.4% monthly and 20.9% annually. Total production reached 4.9 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed). Pre-salt fields also hit a record: 3.86 million boed, 78.8% of national output. Offshore fields generated 97.6% of oil and 85.3% of gas. Petrobras operated 89.35% of total production. The Tupi field led oil and gas output, while FPSO Guanabara was the top facility. Gas flaring rose 97.1% from June 2024, due to the FPSO Alexandre de Gusmão start-up.
