IN JULY, MOVEMENT AT THE PORTS OF PARANÁ GREW BY 6,5%

Paraná ports recorded their highest monthly cargo movement ever in July 2025, handling 7.32 million tons—6.5% more than the previous record. The Eastern Export Corridor also hit a new high, moving 2.6 million tons of grains and bran. Driven by a record soybean harvest and warehouse clearance due to low international prices, soybean exports soared 55% to 2.05 million tons. From January to July, soybean and soybean meal exports rose 6% and 14%, respectively. Corn exports surged 499% in July, reaching 447,156 tons. Fertilizers led imports with 1.21 million tons—32% more than last year. Overall, from January to July, 41.57 million tons were handled, 5.2% more than in 2024. Paranaguá remains a top global export hub for chicken and meat, with significant increases in both containerized cargo and imports, especially fertilizers and animal proteins.
