In the 2025/26 harvest, the mills in the Center-South processed 49.82 million tons of sugarcane in the 1st half of July, an increase of 14.77% over 2024/25, but the cumulative index up to 07/16 registered a drop of 9.61%. The quality of the raw material worsened, with ATR at 133.66 kg/t in the fortnight (-6.82%) and 124.37 kg/t in the cumulative index (-4.81%). Sugar production fell 9.22%, totaling 15.66 million tons, while ethanol fell 12.02% (11.62 billion liters). Corn ethanol stands out, with an increase of 22.25% in the cumulative index. Ethanol sales totaled 1.38 billion liters in the fortnight, with hydrous falling (-6.15%) and anhydrous rising (+2.71%). In the cumulative index, sales fell 2.68%.
