The Inácio Barbosa Maritime Terminal (TMIB), operated by VLI in Barra dos Coqueiros (SE), saw an 18% rise in cargo volume handled in the first half of 2025. Key drivers include a 97% increase in petroleum coke imports, a 2.6-fold rise in wheat volumes, a 42% boost in cement, and a 6% growth in fertilizer imports—highlighting its role in supporting regional industry and agribusiness. TMIB is increasingly strategic for exporting grains, fertilizers, mining products, and more from the Northeast, while also supporting Petrobras operations in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin. VLI affirms TMIB’s growing importance in connecting regional production to global markets.
