Brazil’s second-crop corn harvest reached 10.3% as of July 21, according to Conab. Although up from 3.9% the previous week, progress remains behind the 28% recorded at the same time in 2023 and the 17.5% average of the last five years. Mato Grosso leads with 27.6% harvested, followed by Tocantins, Maranhão, Paraná, and others. Dry weather has accelerated harvest in Mato Grosso and Paraná, while high humidity continues to slow progress in Mato Grosso do Sul and São Paulo. Nationally, 66.6% of crops are in maturation, 21.5% in grain filling, and 1.4% in flowering.
