Brazil produced 4.487 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) of natural gas and oil in January of this year. At 3.519 million barrels per day (bbl/d), oil output was up 7.5% from January 2023 but down 1.8% from the previous month. The amount of natural gas produced was 153.93 million cubic meters per day (m3/d), down 1.7% from December 2023 but up 7.6% from January 2023. About 75% of the overall output came from the pre-salt zone, with the Tupi field being the biggest producer. Regarding production facilities, FPSO Guanabara had the top position.
