Santos Brasil celebrated one year of operations at the Itaqui Port in November and initiated the construction of its third liquid bulk terminal, TGL2. Concurrently, the company continues the expansion of terminals TGL1 and TGL3, which began in April this year. These actions will increase the current capacity from 50,000 m³ to 191,000 m³ by 2026 (roughly one-fourth of the expected total capacity of the port), positioning the company as a significant player in a port with tremendous growth potential linked to agribusiness. Ongoing construction includes building new tanks for the reception, shipment, and storage of diesel, gasoline, and biofuels. Upon completion, the terminals will feature four new dedicated pier lines for fuels with access to the port’s three public berths handling liquid bulk operations.
