RAÍZEN INVESTED MORE THAN R$1 BILLION IN E2G IN THE LAST QUARTER OF 2023/24, SAYS DIRECTOR

Raízen’s investment in expanding second-generation ethanol (E2G) production was clarified to be R$3 billion in one year, not one quarter as previously stated. The company’s commitment to E2G production is evident from its program, initiated in mid-2021, aiming to have 20 units by 2030/31. Phillipe Casale, director of investor relations, asserts positive investment prospects, with plans to invest around R$24 billion by 2030. Raízen has invested R$1.56 billion in E2G between April and December last year, totaling R$3.05 billion since the second quarter of 2021/22. These investments reflect the company’s commitment to sustainable operations and the renewable energy sector’s growth in Brazil.
