PR 2025/26 HARVEST: RAINS ACCELERATE PLANTING IN THE STATE

Summer crops are advancing across Paraná, driven by better soil moisture, according to Deral’s latest bulletin. Soybean planting for the 2025/26 season is accelerating with the return of rains, showing good germination and vigor in most areas. Corn planting is nearing completion, with strong early development despite pests like leafhoppers and thrips requiring attention. Rice planting continues on schedule with good soil moisture, though low prices worry producers, while bean crops show healthy progress. Wheat harvest is in its final stages, with mixed productivity due to drought and frost, and some grain quality losses from lodging caused by wind and rain. Other crops, including sugarcane, potatoes, and tobacco, are performing well, supported by favorable weather. Coffee has begun flowering after a recent dry spell, and pastures are recovering with the renewed rains.
