The Board of Directors of the Santos Port Authority (APS) approved, on the 22nd, the renewal of the contract with the company Van Oord for maintenance dredging services in sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the access channel and at the berths of the Port of Santos, always ensuring depths of 15 meters. The contract’s term is 24 months, valued at R$ 277.2 million. The mentioned sections cover the entire internal navigation channel of the so-called Organized Port of Santos, extending from the ferry crossing to the Alemoa district. The contract renewal includes an early termination clause, allowing for the termination in the event of a possible concession of the channel to the private initiative through PPP or another modality.
