The Port of Recife received on Wednesday, Dec 28, a vessel that will be used to transport ethanol in the port’s second export operation. The product was produced in the Pernambuco state by the JB Group. This time, the export quantity will be larger: 4,373 tonnes. “We were able to make this operation a reality in Recife thanks to all the good effort to seek and attract new cargo to Recife. This operation is the second ethanol shipment departing from Recife, and we have a third and fourth already scheduled for 2023,” commemorates Tito Moraes, president of the Port of Recife. Eight different trucks brought the cargo to the vessel. As the volume this time is bigger, the trucks will complete 90 roundtrips between Recife and Vitoria de Santo Antão to fetch the alcohol that is then piped directly from the trucks to the ship’s tanks.
