PORT OF ITAQUI WILL HAVE NEW FERTILIZER TERMINAL

Representatives from the National Secretariat of Ports and Waterway Transport recently conducted a two-day survey at the Port of Itaqui Complex. This survey is the first step towards a technical, economic, and environmental feasibility study for the construction of a new fertilizer terminal, which aims to meet the growing global demand for agricultural inputs. Ellen Brissac, the manager of Contracts and Leases at the Port of Itaqui, said that the new terminal will significantly boost the port’s development and strengthen its position as one of the main logistics hubs in Brazil. Bruno Neri, from the National Secretariat of Waterway Ports and Airports, also highlighted the importance of the visit for participation in the modeling process in partnership with LabTrans.
