Eurochem is opening a new phosphate fertilizer facility in Serra do Salitre, Minas Gerais on March 13. The USD 1 billion investment will enable the plant to produce 1 million tons of phosphate fertilizer by 2025 and decrease Brazil’s reliance on foreign fertilizers. Eurochem aims to provide 10 million tons of fertilizer by 2025, contributing to a 15% decrease in fertilizer imports and enabling it to increase its market share in Brazil.
