The ports of the state of Parana closed in November with a total throughput of 54,014,368 tonnes across the year, owing to increase movement in all cargo segments. This volume is 2% higher than the previous year’s 11-month total, 53,028,869 tonnes. The number reached despite the frequent rains seen last month boosts the sector’s hopes. Solid bulk operations correspond to more than half Parana’s port operations (61.6%). From Jan to November this year, 33,308,239 tonnes of solid bulk products were transported versus 33,186,345 in the same period of 2021 (0.36%). The growth was even greater in liquids: 9%. Until November 30th, the total volume of loaded and unloaded cargo liquid bulk products was 7,928,439 tonnes. There were 7,248,654 tonnes in 2021.
