HYDRATE SALES AT SP PLANTS REACH SECOND HIGHEST VOLUME OF THE YEAR

A recent survey by the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea) reveals that the volume of hydrated ethanol traded in São Paulo plants from April 8 to 12 was the second highest this year, nearly tripling compared to the same period in 2023. This surge is attributed to the competitive pricing at fuel pumps, driving increased demand from distributors. However, agricultural activities faced setbacks due to rains in key producing regions. During this period, the Cepea/Esalq Hydrous Ethanol Indicator closed at R$2.3701 per liter, marking a 1.09% increase, while the average daily Esalq/BM&FBovespa Indicator rose by 2.51%. Conversely, the price of anhydrous ethanol decreased by 2.16% to R$2.6458 per liter.
