The consultancy COGO Intelligence in Agribusiness points out a favorable scenario for Brazilian farmers in the 22/23 harvest, as fertilizers turn out to be normalized in Brazil. “Imported volumes are surpassing last year’s. Between January and May this year, Brazil imported 13% more than in the same period last year,” COGO says. The entity recalls that part of the fertilizers came in before the war. “The situation looks much better, and the scenario is that there will not be product shortage”. In the international market, the price of inputs is now slightly plunging. According to COGO, the peak of fertilizer prices was registered between the end of February and March of this year, with the beginning of the war. “This price drop will continue gradually. This does not mean that the producer should postpone the purchase of inputs”, COGO warned.
