The state of Paraiba exported USD 124.4 million between January and September 2023, representing a 19.1% increase over 2022. Paraiba’s main export destinations were Spain, the United States, Ghana, Portugal, and the Philippines. Rubber or plastic footwear accounted for 40.9 million USD in exports, followed by other types of footwear and textiles. Paraíba is the third largest footwear producer and exporter in Brazil, accounting for 16.1% of the national market. The state also exports sugars, ethyl alcohol, ilmenite, papayas, pineapple juice, coconut water, and lobster. In September, the state’s major exports were rubber or plastic footwear, followed by manganese ores, sugars, and lobsters.
