EXCEPT FOR RIO GRANDE DO SUL, BAHIA, AND MINAS GERAIS, CONAB EXPECTS GOOD DEVELOPMENT CONDITION IN HARVEST

Except for Rio Grande do Sul, Bahia, and Minas Gerais, 2022/23 grain crops have been developing well, according to Brazil’s Supply Company (Conab). According to the state-owned company, “the current harvest is developing in a similar way or above the average in the main producing states of the country, which indicates a good productive potential of soybean and corn first crop”. The most rainfall fell in the north and part of the center-south region, with a focus on Amazonas, Amapá, parts of Pará and Mato Grosso, in addition to the south of Goiás and Minas Gerais, as well as the Triângulo Mineiro, which included Mato Grosso do Sul, Sao Paulo, north of Paraná, and west of Maranhao.
