ETHANOL: PRICES UNDER THE FIVE CONSECUTIVE WEEK IN SAO PAULO

The strong demand at the retailer, due to the very favorable price ratio at the gas stations compared to fossil fuel, considering the energy efficiency differential, has kept ethanol prices rising in São Paulo, with the fifth week followed by increases, pointed out the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea). Between October 14 and 18, the CEPEA / ESALQ Indicator for hydrous ethanol closed at R $ 1.80 per liter, a slight increase of 0.18% over the previous week. The CEPEA / ESALQ Indicator for anhydrous was R $ 1.98 per liter, up 0.95% in the same period. According to the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels, the relationship between the prices of the two fuels presents an average of 64.5% in this 2019/2020 crop.
