ETHANOL EXPORTS GREW IN OCTOBER

October reached a high-level ethanol output this year, with mills in Brazil’s Center-South region selling 2.52 billion liters of ethanol, an increase of 16.16% when compared to the same period in the 2021/22 crop season. The data are from the Sugarcane Industry Association (Unica). There was also a great number of sales to the foreign market in October. Hydrous ethanol sales reached 104.43 million liters (+139%), and anhydrous ethanol, 167.50 million liters (+709%). Ethanol exports by mills totaled 271.93 million liters in October (+322%). The year-to-date volume was 1.51 billion liters, an increase of 51.72% when compared to the 2021/22 crop year.
