The Port Authority of Santos (APS) has invested BRL 14.9 million in dredging at berths 12A to 20/21 in Outeirinhos. This project marks the beginning of the new BRL 12.6 billion port complex investment plan. The primary objective of this project is to increase the depth of the area to fifteen meters, allowing larger ships to operate there. The construction began last Monday (18), and it is expected to be completed by June. Along with other enhancements, such as the Internal Railway of the Port of Santos (FIPS), the deepening will boost the port’s progress according to APS.
