BRAZIL’S SOYBEAN HARVEST HAS COVERED 15% OF THE AREA, WITH PARANA AND MATO GROSSO LEADING THE WAY

As of February 6, AgRural reports that Brazil’s soybean crop 2024–25 harvest was 15% of the farmed area, down from 23% in 2023. Paraná leads with one-third of harvested land, but Mato Grosso has improved despite harsh weather. After a dry January, Rio Grande do Sul crops have received recent rains, while the northwest continues to see low precipitation and high temperatures, which can reduce productivity. With 20% of the second corn crop planted in the center-south, Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul are making headway but delays in Mato Grosso and Goiás are concerning given the February deadline. The summer corn harvest in the Center-South is at 18%, with São Paulo starting work.
