BRAZIL’S 23-24 SOYBEAN HARVEST HAS ADVANCED TO 11% OF THE AREA, AGRURAL SAYS

According to AgRural, Brazil’s soybean harvesting for the 2023-24 season has reached 11% of the expected area. The harvest has started in all states except Rio Grande do Sul and Piauí. The progress of the machines has been slow due to increased rainfall, particularly in Mato Grosso, but some locations such as Paraná have benefitted from high temperatures and low humidity. Furthermore, corn planting for the second 2023-24 crop in the center-south has now reached 11% of the area, which is an increase from 5% the previous week and last year.
