BRAZILIAN SUGAR EXPORTS GROW AS PRODUCTION FALLS IN INDIA

Brazil’s sugar exports have seen a significant increase in 2024 due to reduced sugar output in India caused by unfavorable weather conditions. In the first four months of the year, Brazil sold approximately 10.6 million tons of sugar, which is more than double its output during the same period in 2023. With India’s reduced sugar supply, Brazil is taking advantage of the opportunity to strengthen its position as one of the world’s major sugar exporters, thereby boosting its position in the global market.
