Brazilian coffee exports in October reached 4.356 million bags, generating $847.2 million, marking a 21.8% volume increase with a slight 2.5% dip in value compared to October 2022, according to Cecafé. Notably, conilon and robusta coffees showcased their second-best monthly performance in history, driven by issues in other producers’ harvests. Cecafé’s president, Márcio Ferreira, highlights the growth in exports to China, Japan, and Mexico, despite logistical challenges. Santos leads exports at 72.4%, followed by the ports of Rio de Janeiro and Paranaguá. The 2023/2024 harvest exhibits a 16% growth in shipments.
