President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Minister Silvio Costa Filho have inaugurated the revitalization of the Outeiro Port Terminal in Pará. The BRL 260 million project was executed in a record six months by Companhia Docas do Pará with funding from Itaipu Binacional. The renovation modernized the entire port, extending the pier to 716 meters and tripling its capacity to 80,000 tons. For the COP30 event, the terminal will host two hotel ships, adding 6,000 beds, and is designed to foster future maritime tourism and regional commerce.
