BRAZIL OPENS 51 NEW AGRIBUSINESS MARKETS WORLDWIDE IN 2023

Brazil has successfully expanded its agribusiness reach, securing access to 51 new international markets for its agricultural and livestock products by September 2023. The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) played a pivotal role in facilitating negotiations across the Americas, including countries like Argentina, Canada, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, and Panama, resulting in the opening of 22 new markets. In the Asian region, Brazil successfully gained access to markets in Indonesia, Singapore, China, India, Malaysia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, totaling 14 new markets. Across the African continent, negotiations with Egypt, Algeria, Angola, and South Africa resulted in the opening of seven new markets for Brazilian products. In Europe, Brazil established trade agreements with Russia and Belarus, leading to the opening of two markets. In the Oceania region, which includes French Polynesia, New Caledonia, and Vanuatu, four new markets were established.
