Brazil is now producing green ammonia, according to Yara. The carbon footprint of the input is 75% lower than that of items originating from fossil fuels. The renewable ammonia might affect the whole nitrogen fertilizer chain. Vinasse from sugarcane is used to make the biomethane that will be utilized. Now, the company is using gas to produce ammonia. Yara claims that it can produce nitrogen fertilizers with lower carbon emissions by taking the place of natural gas.
