According to Conab, the harvest area for 2024 was 11.9% smaller than the previous year, reaching 3.061 million hectares. Productivity was estimated at 2,634 kg/ha, up 13% from the previous season. Thus, the 2024 harvest is expected to yield 8.064 million tons, a 0.4% reduction over 2023.
