VLI POSTS RECORD GRAIN VOLUMES IN 2025

VLI reported record grain and meal shipments in 2025, with rail volumes reaching 23 million tonnes of corn, soybeans and by-products, up 16% year-on-year. Port shipments totaled 15.4 million tonnes, a 14% increase. The performance reflects stronger demand and returns from BRL 7 billion in investments in its multimodal network, including terminals, rail systems and shiploaders. Since 2024, the company added 27 locomotives (BRL 600 million). VLI sees rail as strategic amid tighter farm margins, with fuel costs and global tensions pressuring production costs. The company continues to track production and commercialization trends as key drivers for volumes.
